Senior Content Strategist & Narrative Architect

(Human-led, Research-Driven, Public Knowledge)

Role Overview

Cognitra Group is seeking a Senior Content Strategist & Narrative Architect to help shape how complex ideas are structured, articulated, and made publicly intelligible across institutional and societal contexts.

This role sits at the intersection of research, editorial judgment, and narrative design. It goes beyond writing or content production: you will design how knowledge is translated into coherent, ethical, and durable public forms—across websites, publications, and long-form intellectual outputs.

You will contribute directly to Cognitra Group’s public intellectual voice, narrative architecture, and editorial standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Content & Narrative Design

  • Develop narrative structures that translate complex, abstract ideas into layered, accessible formats—without loss of depth or nuance.

  • Define content models, taxonomies, and conceptual hierarchies aligned with audience needs and institutional objectives.

Editorial Leadership

  • Establish and maintain editorial guidelines (voice, tone, semantic coherence, ethical clarity).

  • Draft, edit, and oversee high-stakes content, including positioning pages, long-form essays, and flagship narratives.

  • Work closely with leadership to turn research insights into publishable, public-facing outputs.

Audience Insight & Optimization

  • Collaborate with UX, analytics, and SEO specialists to ensure content is discoverable, meaningful, and contextually appropriate.

  • Iterate content structures based on audience behaviour, interpretive clarity, and strategic priorities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Guide designers, researchers, and developers on content implementation best practices.

  • Ensure consistency and coherence across channels, formats, and initiatives.

  • Additional certifications in UX Writing, Information Architecture, Semantic SEO, or Knowledge Design are an advantage.

Professional Experience

  • 8+ years of professional experience in editorial strategy, content design, or knowledge communication.

  • Demonstrated experience writing and structuring content for educated, sophisticated audiences.

  • Proven ability to design long-form narrative systems and editorial frameworks.
